Sarah Kanouse is a recent transplant to Chicago from the cornfields
in and around Champaign-Urbana. She prefers the sunrise
over Lake Michigan to the sunrise over Monsanto and is busily trying to make
the big city feel like home. She received her MFA from the University of Illinois
in 2004 and her BA from Yale in 1997. If anyone knows of a good job, please

Polvo Magazine,
a bi-annual magazine, is edited and contributed by a volunteer, international
team of artists, critics, and writers. Polvo
Magazine is distributed to Chicago's artistic and cultural community as well
as in various cities across the USA(Miami, Seattle, Detroit, Atlanta, San Antonio,
Houston, New York), South Africa (Johannesburg, Cape Town), Australia(Melbourne)
and Mexico. Polvo Magazine is published through Polvo, a Chicago-based alternative
art space http://www.polvo.org.
