This new series of consecutive small exhibitions will occur monthly, the openings coinciding with Polvo openings. While Polvo regularly integrates the work of emerging artists into its exhibition program, this project will provide a forum for the many talented artists in Chicago who are at a crucial juncture in the development of their work. 12" x 12" will introduce these artists’ work to Polvo visitors and will stimulate awareness of and discussion surrounding these works within the larger art community. The fast-paced nature of the series is intended to open up the program—and the vision—of Polvo to provide a fresh, up-to-the-minute view of new and unfamiliar developments taking place in the studios of Chicago and elsewhere.
